We also offer free technical advice to your sparkies if they are unsure of something
Its best to work with us from the very beginning. We register the address on your behalf and then perform installations around electrical fit-off stage prior to handover
We specialise in NBN Pre-installations and have been doing so since 2016
Best thing to do is call or email us. We will take care of the rest. To get started put us in your purchasing system/ job management software. This automates the process and we can be automatically notified of upcoming jobs and schedule our technicians when required. We will also need access to your sites usually via builders key. We just turn up and do the job. If there are any issues we will notify your site supers and work with them on a resolution.
Preinstalls are only available for Greenfields estates and developments that are designed from conception to be serviced by FTTP. Other technologies such as FTTN, FTTC, HFC, Fixed Wireless and Satellite are not catered for in the Preinstal program. Usually if you are doing a knock down rebuild in an existing area, your client will call their isp to establish the new connection. We can provide assistance with which technology is at which address and point you and your client in the right direction.
Some new estates are not NBN. These are Opticomm, Telstra Velocity(moving to opticomm). We are unable to provide pre-installs for these sites. examples are calderwood, jordan springs
For all preinstalls we do not provide battery backup power supplies. The reason for this is simple. Battery Backups were designed to provide power during blackouts to fixed phone lines using the UNIV1 or UNIV2 ports. In our experience of thousands of installations, 99.9% of customers request a standard Router from their ISP. If they opt to have a phone line it usually comes from the Router as a virtual phone line. In the event of a blackout the router loses power(because it plugged into house power) and shuts down . This renders all services provided by your isp to be non functional(unless the router has a battery function). Having a battery backup does not power up the router, only the NBN NTD. If a customer really wants a battery back up power supply they can contact their isp and request one after taking possession of their new home.
Well sort of. its called a 1 time contribution fee. This is levied by NBN to the customer by their isp upon first connection to the new property. Its a contribution fee for the owner of the new home for having their house build in a greenfields Fibre estate.
This is upto the builder and the client. Wet rooms are forbidden. Usually the ntd is installed in the garage or a hall cupboard or bedroom cupboard. Variations can exist and planning with your client and their network wiring will help decide this
